Cat Flaps

Believe it or not, one of the most common questions we get asked is “Can a cat flap be fitted into glass?” A beautiful new conservatory or orangery is always a great addition but as a nation of animal lovers we all like to make sure our furry little friends have easy access to our homes. Well we can put your minds at rest as in short….yes cat flaps can be fitted in glass!

Fitting a cat flap into single glazing would normally require the manufacture of a new piece of toughened glass to withstand the pressure of the cat flap. Many people get cat flaps fitted into single glazing in a door between their house and conservatory. This means that litter trays can be hidden and access to the garden can be gained.

Fitting a cat flap into double glazing is a relatively easy process. The cat flap supplier would normally manufacture a new piece of glass with the cat flap installed in the double glazing which is then installed into your current frame.

Cat flaps can either be installed by our qualified fitters here at Pallot Glass or by the cat flap manufacturer themselves – the choice is yours! For further enquiries please don’t hesitate to get in contact.
